How Innovation and AI Can Transform the Future of Field Service in APAC

Top 10 Field Services Companies - 2020

The field service industry is undergoing a myriad of changes with the advent of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and more. These new-age technologies are dramatically transforming field operations to improve service levels, customer experience, and productivity, thereby creating value in new and unique ways.

While it is expected that the global field service market would grow significantly in the coming years, much of this growth will be driven by the adoption of technologies such as the cloud and mobility-based solutions. Interestingly, mobility-based solutions would help field technicians better coordinate and plan work to deliver better customer experience. Moreover, with the increase in the adoption of cloud-based field service solutions, businesses will become more agile by reducing waste and enabling collaboration.

However, one of the trends that is likely to rule in 2020 is the IoT. The field service industry is already heading toward predictive maintenance, thanks to IoT. This cutting-edge technology also allows companies to identify device malfunctions before they occur and increase operational efficiency and infrastructure uptime.

Besides, automation in the form of unmanned aerial vehicles or drones to capture data from difficult areas has also emerged as a key development in the field services industry. By offering a detailed view of large areas, drones are enabling field workers or technicians to record everything—from damaged equipment to hazards to faults in real-time. Therefore, this will be a growing trend for years to come.

At this juncture, this edition of APAC CIO Outlook features top companies that exhibit competence in delivering robust and efficient field service solutions. We hope this edition helps you build the partnership you and your firm need to foster technologically-driven field service experiences.

We present to you APAC CIO Outlook’s “Top 10 Field Services Companies - 2020.”
